Communication Audit
The communication audit was a product created in an attempt to better understand the organizational culture, definitions of consistency, inclusiveness, and effectiveness, and how communication theories are used in day-to-day communication among Chick-fil-A Market Street. From my interviewees, I was able to pick up on a common theme and immediately moved to use the feminist standpoint theory in my analysis of the culture of the location. From there, I was able to use the knowledge provided to us by Julia Wood (2009) and make the informed assumption that the cultural values and power relations that are held within Chick-fil-A at the micro level, aid in the contribution of subordination and/or oppression of particular groups, in this case, women (Wood, 2009, p. 2).
