Longform Video Layout

The final piece in the puzzle that was Maria Beauty came in the form of a long-form video Layout. With this, I was essentially tasked with creating a commercial for Maria Beauty. Using an Adobe Express web page, I began brainstorming on what the final product would be. Being the final stop on the journey, I knew I needed to further drive home the sense of family and showcase it as it has traveled through time. With this being a new venture, I wanted to make sure I was setting the commercial up to where it would be able to draw in viewers, so I ‘enlisted’ help from some big names in the fashion world. Given that during his prime, Gianni has often been credited with helping usher in the age of supers, and given that he held a close relationship with each of them, I only felt right to include them in the launch of Maria Beauty.

These supermodels hold a very strong connection to both Versace and Allegra herself, as Naomi and Linda walked with Allegra in the Versace Fashion show in 1992 when she was but 8 years old. David Aaker highlights the story of Skype and the stories the brand was able to create and tell through ads. These ads left viewers with a sense of warmth, as a heartwarming story was gracing your eyes and ears. With Maria Beauty adopting the signature story of family love, I felt as though I was able to replicate that effect(Aaker, 2018). Versace and her ads are often loud, bold, and fast, but I wanted to change that, give the audience a change of pace, and really listen to the story that surrounds Maria Beauty, and how Allegra is honoring her uncle all these years later.
